Lily has a background in community outreach, nonprofit development, and event coordination. She previously taught refugee and asylee clients workforce literacy skills in Texas.

Joy Linn

The daughter of a diplomat, Joy has never known life that didn’t include other cultures, other languages, and of course travel. She has always been a student of nature, and has degrees in Zoology and General Science.

Courtney Buoncore

With a background in anthropology, Cat loves learning through travel. New to Oregon, she enjoys exploring the pacific coast, backpacking, reading, and hanging out with her cats! She also fosters dogs and kittens with Heartland Humane Society.

Anne Vela

Anne is an ESL instructor. She is passionate about helping the community, and has a nonprofit organization called Foundation for English Language Acquisition for refugees and asylum seekers. She loves travelling to experience and learn about other cultures around the world.

Evelyn Guiselle Pryor

Evelyn was born and raised in Costa Rica and loves living in Corvallis with her husband and three kids. She loves cooking, spending time outdoors, and sharing her Costa Rican culture.

Gillian Kliewer

Gillian is a university student currently majoring in Speech Communication and minoring in Spanish. She is passionate about language and loves to write poetry in her free time.

Danlu Yang

Danlu Yang is a professional medical interpreter and academic translator in Spanish, Portuguese, English, and Mandarin. She has an MA in anthropology from OSU.

Samantha Parson

Samantha is a returning adult learner at OSU finishing her degree in English. She has experience working in Writing Centers and ESL programs at OSU and Penn State, and experiences great joy interacting with people from around the world.

Kjersten (pronounced shares-ten, She/They) Beauty Activist, Mother, Earth Lover, Eco-Edutainer, Song Carrier, Waste-strument Maker, and Co-Creatrix of Cascadia Song Rise, sharing CommUnity Song Circles on Kalapuyan land throughout Willamette Valley.

David Del Valle

He enjoys learning about cultures and other languages. David has been an English/Spanish Interpreter who has a love for traveling, photography, hiking, biking and kayaking.
