Corvallis Language Exchange

LEVEL: All

The language exchange is to practice speaking with learners and native speakers in a group setting. All languages and levels are welcome! We gather once per week, and the languages we speak depends on who shows up. Drop in for however long you’re able to attend!

Hike Together

LEVEL: all

CMLC is partnering with Greenbelt Land Trust to go on monthly nature hikes to explore local natural areas together. Families welcome. Dress appropriately for the weather, including rain. Bring snacks and water. Hikes will be around 2 miles. Transportation provided! Meet at CMLC at 9am to ride to the hike location together in a passenger van.

April: Old Growth/New Growth Trail up on the Lewisburg Saddle (2 miles). Lush forest, old growth habitat, mellow rises and falls.

May: Cheadle Marsh Trail + Pidgeon Butte at Finley Wildlife Refuge (3 miles): open valley, a beautiful view, heritage meadow and oak savannah; flat walking and a mellow climb

June: Little Willamette, Greenbelt Land Trust conservation easement (2 miles): wetland pools, floodplain forest, prairie, and an old channel of the Willamette River; flat walking.

Earth Shakers: Make and Play Percussion Instruments
(1-Day Workshop)

CommUnity Song Circle

Experience the joy of group singing! Learn a collection of simple songs with harmonies and rhythms to sing together in community. Songs will be taught in the oral tradition of call-and-response; no experience necessary. All voices and abilities welcome, open to all ages (children under 7 need adult accompaniment)
