Oregon mask mandate to end on March 11, 2022

The Oregon Health Authority announced that the rule requiring masks to be worn in all indoor public places will be lifted on March 11, 2022. This decision was made in light of a projected drop in COVID-19 hospitalizations by the end of March reaching levels similar to before the Omicron wave. This will end the state requirement for everyone to wear a facemask in all public, indoor spaces including schools, though individual facilities, organizations, and businesses can choose to continue requiring masks past this date.

Benton County also has a local order requiring masking in all public, indoor spaces. The Board of Commissioners will be meeting with local health officials to determine how the County will move forward.
